Who am I?

I'm known as the "Cheekyfish" online. You can find me playing at Devilfish, Pokerstars and Fulltilt although I do stray to other sites from time to time. I love to play most draw poker variations but currently I'm focusing on 32 Card Draw. I always feel that the best way to learn is to "saddle up on the horse and ask questions later." That was how I got started in poker, latterly 32 Card Draw.

Why did I create this website?

I created this website because there was zero 32 Card Draw information online, nor books for that matter. I can easily find rule guides for the game but I was looking for more than that. I wanted in depth strategy, it was nowhere to be found, billions of website's on the internet, and zilch.

This has changed. I have applied my 10 years background in draw poker and hopefully I have put together enough information you and other readers to build your own winning strategy. I can offer you a blueprint to success but you should only use this as a platform to build your own successful strategy.

I saw one site offering some sort of e-book, that's cool but you had to signup to some poker site through one of their links, not so cool. Most ebooks are a waste of time, nothing more than a sales pitch, so I skipped it.

This is the method I use to learn a new game, unfortunately there were no other 32 Card Draw strategy guides around at time of print. I have put together what I have learned at the tables and applied a winning technique to the game. At first I was struggling with things to write but once I had enough time under my belt, the words started to flow.

Quick 32 Card Draw Overview

When I first heard about 32 Card Draw, I was skeptical, I thought it would never work. Within an hour I saw the potential for this game. Some may have labeled the game "5 Card Draw 7up" or "Italian poker" but they are all the same game.

Low cards are removed from the deck (2 to 6). This leaves 7 to Ace. With just high cards in the pack and fewer cards to choose from, you can be assured of some big hand clashes during the session.

I have played a lot of 5 card draw. This knowledge helped me pick up the basic flow of the game within 20 minutes or so. When you see yourself with four of a kind in a standard poker game you tend to get a little excited. During a big tournament I landed 4 Jacks, I got all tingly and excited. I knew this was going to be something big. I decided to do a quick backflip to kill time. Well anyway, I managed to sprain my wrist and timed out the hand. Luckily, I tend to get less excited when I hit quads. That's just as well because at 32 Draw Poker, it happens a lot more often, so don't be gambling your mortgage away on quads.

32-Draw Split is Pretty Cool

Once the poker cards are passed, players may be offered the choice to split. The split option is what makes this game so special. You can use this option to trap players or even hedge your bets. The 32 card poker split option is a pretty cool function. Again, I wasn't expecting too much. As an outsider looking in the game seemed just too complicated. I for one, can dispel the difficulty myth.Sure you will made a few simple mistakes. One of mine was forgetting about the low ace straight rule. This rule allows the Ace to play as either high or low to make your straight. You can have either A-K-Q-J-10 or you can make you straight A-7-8-9-10. All in all, it is vital for you to learn a few rule alterations but this shouldn't take too long if you have a little basic poker background.

32 card draw can only be played on the Entraction network. The largest and most well known site on the network is Devilfishpoker.com I always recommend bigger, more established sites when choosing a particular network to play on, that way I know my hard earned money is secure.
